This 100,000 square foot food processing facility was fast-tracked using Design-Build services, allowing the Owner's ambitious timeframe to be met. Design/Build and the use of a Butler pre-engineered building allowed construction to commence prior to design being fully completed. Within five months of beginning construction, the Owner began moving in equipment. Within the facility is 30,000 square feet of food processing space, which required food grade finishes and special mechanical requirements. Corporate office space consisted of 9,000 square feet on two levels and includes a research kitchen and testing lab. The remainder of the facility includes specialty storage racking in large cooler and freezer rooms. Included in the construction challenges was the unique requirement for protection of an endangered butterfly's habitat on the project site.
