Scheduling and Supervision

Scheduling

We will prepare a master schedule that will be maintained and updated throughout the project.  In addition, each week our on-site superintendent prepares a three-week look-ahead schedule.  This is reviewed in detail at the weekly progress meeting with the owner, the architect/engineer, and all of the subcontractors that are or will be involved in the project during the next three weeks.  This assures coordination among all trades, smooth flow of the work, and coordination with the owner’s use of the facility.

Supervision

Our supervisors are a critical component to the success we have enjoyed for over 75 years.  All project superintendents are highly skilled and trained in the construction industry.  Our superintendents have completed the Associated General Contractors of America “Supervisory Training Program”; completion of the project is a 3-4 year commitment.  Our superintendent average length of service with Ellis is nearly 20 years.  Most have years of additional experience in the construction industry.
